About Me

Hi, I'm Lexie! I'm from Raleigh, North Carolina and I'm so excited that you're here! My biggest passion in life is education. As my Teaching Fellows from UNCG would say: "Education chose me."

To me, there is no better way to touch hearts and change the world — because to learn and be educated is to be liberated.

Education has the power to bring communities together, and in the same hand, technology can bring the world together. When the two come together, I genuinely think something beautiful can transpire.

In my spare time, I love working on passion projects like Bella (see my projects section), spending time with my husband Cameron and our corgis Bunny & Brioche. For hobbies, I love playing video games, reading, and going on walks.

Thank you for being here and taking the time to read this. Hopefully you also get the chance to take a look at my portfolio. If you have any questions or just want to chat, you can contact me.

Experience

To me, the best educators don't just teach a subject, they teach people. I've always aspired to be the real-life Remus Lupin. I am deeply invested in the people I teach. I want to know what drives them, what they're struggling with, what lights them up. I try to make learning hands-on and engaging because I think that's when it actually sticks. Whether I'm in a classroom or designing a training program, I'm always thinking about the person on the other side of the material and how to make them feel seen, challenged, and capable of more than they thought possible.

Portfolio

My passion is helping people grow through teaching, learning, and thoughtful design. But at my core, I'm a problem solver. I love taking a messy challenge, designing a solution, and watching it actually make a difference for real people.

That curiosity doesn't stop at the classroom door. I'm genuinely fascinated by people: what they need, how they think, and what makes experiences click for them. Whether I'm designing a curriculum, building an app, or crafting a user interface, the question is always the same: how do I make this work better for the person using it?

That's why this portfolio isn't limited to just one field (I have other interests too!). The world is full of problems worth solving, and I intend to solve as many as I can.
